The school celebrates Independence Day.
August 15th is Independence Day for India. This was celebrated at school with music and reading. The National flag was hoisted outside the school and the children each had their own hand-held flags.
I was, for the second year, pleased to be asked to write an ‘Independence Day Letter’ to the children. Naturally, the highlight of the day was the excellent little food parcel given to each child – full of treaty things fit for such a special day.
In our next news article I am going to give some information regarding the school curriculum and future prospects which lie ahead for these children.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support, thanks to all the staff at JBF in India who do all the work and thanks to the children for attending the school.
